3,000 women beneficiaries receive gloves for Shea Nut Picking

As part of our aim to empower 3,000 women in the Northern Region of Ghana, economically, WSDP, last week donated a total of 3000 pairs of gloves to 3,000 women in order to aid them in their Shea Nut picking.

Shea Nut processing forms  the crux of the livelihood of the women in Busunu which is located in the Northern part of Ghana. Thus, most if not all the women are heavily engaged in this business. After listening to their needs, WSDP decided to support these women by donating the gloves in order to help protect their hands even as they go into the farms to pick shea nuts.

The women were very elated upon receiving these gloves as it offered them great protection and made their work easier and more importantly as shea season draws close.

We look forward to contributing more to these women to continue to empower them one day at a time!
